October 26, 1924 - December 13, 2015
Leita Lorraine Reiser, 91, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 in Savannah. She was born October 26, 1924 in Illinois to Charles Ross and Claire Kohl Lurton. Leita was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, sang in the choir for over 56 years, and various other committees. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Reiser, her son, Chris Reiser, and her daughter, Carolyn R. New. .
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Bob Cornwell, of Savannah, four grandsons, Bobby Cornwell, Brandon Cornwell, Dudley New, Brian Reiser, and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff of Savannah Cottage for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Reiser.
Remembrances may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, or Skidaway Island United Methodist Church.
